Three Pieces of Ballardvale, MA Stoneware with Cobalt Floral Decoration, circa 1885, all with elaborate slip-trailed floral decorations, a two-gallon jar, stamped "BALLARDVALLE, MASS.," and a five-gallon jar and two-gallon crock, both stamped "BALLARD VALE. / STONE WARE. MF.G.CO." Two-gallon jar significant exfoliation, a reglued handle, a handle chip, a rim chip, and a short line from rim on reverse. Two-gallon crock with a loss to one handle terminal, a hairline from rim on reverse and side, a hairline at base on reverse, and flakes to reverse. Five-gallon jar with significant chipping to rim, some fry to cobalt, small chips to one handle, small base chips, and exfoliation to underside. H (of largest) 15 3/4".
