Rare Glazed Redware Jug, Stamped "BAECHER / WINCHESTER, VA," circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and squared spout, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip flecked with iron and covered in a clear lead glaze. Manganese spot to handle. Glaze flakes to surface. Wear to spout. A small chip to handle. Very tight meandering cracks to body. A tight crack to underside. Small base chips. H 7 1/4".
