Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BELMONT AVE / POTTERY," Newark, NJ origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird, perched on a stylized branch. Essentially as-made condition with a glaze drip to shoulder and an in-the-firing iron ping to back of bird. H 11".
