Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N&A SEYMOUR / ROME," NY State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed design of a tulip below the unusual, cobalt-highlighted maker's mark of Rome, NY potters, Norman and Arden Seymour. Rim chips. Light wear to inner rim for lid. Minor surface wear. H 13".
