Two Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, the front profusely decorated with six freehand stripes; paired with a tapered canning jar with "wax sealer" rim and straight and wavy freehand stripe decoration. Six-stripe jar with significant crack extending from rim to underside, a glazed-over ping to left side, a minor chip to exterior of rim, and minor wear to interior of rim. Other jar with a 5/8" chip to interior of rim and white residue to base. H (of taller) 8 3/8".
