Quart-Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with footed base, unusual coved collar construction, and semi-squared rim, the front decorated with two brushed tulips emanating from a stylized ground. Graduated swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Desirable size. A crack across underside, extending several inches up left side of pitcher and curving onto front, where it includes a tiny chip. This crack also continues 1/2" up the base on the opposite side of the pitcher. H 7 3/8".
