Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with an artistic slip-trailed design of a tulip plant with detailed edges. Slip-trailed "3" twice at shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Very nice condition with a 1 3/4" hairline from rim on front, a 1 3/8" in-the-firing base chip on reverse, some light wear to cobalt, and some staining. H 11 3/4".
