Four Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, PA and MD origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon cake crock with brushed clover and stripe decorations, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875; a four-gallon unsigned jar with freehand vine decoration, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1870; a four-gallon jar with freehand flowering vine decoration, stamped "E. FOWLER / BEAVER, PA;" and a one-gallon jug, stenciled "JA(?) ENGELMAN / 40 HAMILTON ST / ALLENTOWN / PA.," Western PA origin, circa 1880. Cake crock with three cracks from rim and an in-the-firing, glazed-over iron ping to rim. Unsigned Beaver jar with exfoliation, a base chip, a few handle chips, and wear to inner rim for lid. E. Fowler jar with extensive restoration. Jug with spout chips, in-the-firing flaws to surface, and an inverted Y-shaped crack to right side of jug's front. H (of jug) 11 1/2".
