Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN," VA origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with rounded and tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated on the front with a slip-trailed design of a sunflower flanked by tulips. Reverse with two wavy slip-trailed lines at shoulder. Restoration throughout. Entire surface (including decoration) is repainted, making it unclear what the decoration underneath actually looks like. A hairline to underside. H 8 1/4".
