One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Abraham Mead, Greenwich, CT, circa 1790, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated around the shoulder with slip-trailed spotted X motifs. Cobalt highlight to upper handle terminal. A short line from spout. A network of hairlines to reverse/side. Minor chipping to base. An in-the-firing contact mark including surface chips. H 11 3/4".
