Manganese-Decorated Redware Jug, probably Chester County, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with heavily-sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent condition with a small in-the-firing contact mark near base on front. Minor chips to handle. H 6 1/2".
