Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Philadelphia, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated in yellow slip with an alternating design of curved trails and straight trails overlain with vigorously-scrawled wavy-line treatment. Impressed "6" on reverse. Interior with two small flakes, light wear, and some staining. Wear to rim. A 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" flake to exterior. Diam. 10 5/8".
