Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "," Wisconsin origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout and applied handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed tulip hanging from a leafy stem. Brushed script "2" to shoulder. Cobalt dashes through maker's mark. A 7/8" chip to side of spout. Staining throughout. A long horizontal surface line at base appears to be in-the-firing. H 13 1/2".
