Manganese-Decorated Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded spout, its lead-glazed surface featuring manganese spots over a yellowish-orange and rust-colored ground. Minor handle wear and a faint horizontal line through handle. Small glaze flakes to spout. Small base chips. H 7".
