Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Decoration, New Jersey or New York State origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a daisy blossom with dashed petals. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Significant base chips. A 2 1/4" chip to underside, possibly in-the-making. A fairly tight network of top-to-bottom cracks on one side, continuing to underside. H 11 1/2".
