Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK," circa 1815, ovoid jar with open loop handles, the shoulder embellished with an incised and cobalt-highlighted band. Additional cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Jar appears to measure approximately three quarts. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor glazed-over base chip. H 9 1/8".
