Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid jar with tall collar and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with two diagonal tulip bud motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and cobalt daubs below each handle. Three chips to right handle. A 1" in-the-firing iron ping to side of collar. Some mottling to clay. A tiny nick to interior of rim. H 12 1/4".
