One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, probably Midwestern or South-Central U.S. origin, circa 1830, ovoid pitcher with short collar, decorated around the body with five groups of vertically-brushed swags. Spout decorated with horizontal dashes. Stripe decoration to handle and cobalt highlight to lower handle terminal. Surface crazing to collar. Wear to interior of collar. Flakes to interior. Small base chips. Minor surface wear to exterior. H 11".
