Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, 19th century, a one-gallon jug with brushed tulip decoration, stamped "C. DILLON & Co. / ALBANY," NY State origin, circa 1835-1836; paired with a two-gallon jug with crossed birds, stamped "J. NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON VT.," circa 1855. Dillon jug with staining to surface and in-the-firing chips to shoulder and top of handle. Norton jug with a reglued handle, blurriness to cobalt, an iron ping to front, and some light staining. H (of Dillon jug) 11 1/4".
