Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with flared base, decorated around the body with five horizontal tulip motifs. Cobalt swags to collar and flanking the spout. Restored handle. Restoration around much of rim. A 1 1/4" in-the-firing surface chip to left side of pitcher. Some fry to cobalt. Minor in-the-firing chipping to base. A small Y-shaped line at base on reverse. H 13 3/4".
