Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK PA," circa 1870-1889, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a boldly-brushed design of a tulip emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A tiny nick and minor in-the-firing ping to spout. Some staining to surface. A few small base chips. A minor 1/2" vertical line at base. H 13 1/4".
