Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, CT origin, first quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed drape-and-tassel motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Large tight spider crack to one side. A 5/8" glazed-over chip to interior of rim. Minor chips to exterior of rim. A narrow 1 1/8" in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. A minor in-the-firing ping to shoulder. Some staining to surface. H 12 1/2".
