Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant. Slip-trailed 2" to shoulder. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Scattered exfoliation to right side of crock's front, extending onto right side of crock. A small glazed-over iron ping to far right side of crock's front. Two 3/4" chips to one handle. H 9 1/4".
