One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H.C. SMITH / ALEXA / D.C.," circa 1845, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a series of three conjoined tulips around its circumference. Provenance: Suzita Cecil Myers Collection. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing base chip. A large Y-shaped line on underside, continuing 2" up base. Some shallow in-the-firing chipping to rim. H 10 3/8".
