Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with alternating highlights to the petals of the blossom. Slip-trailed "2." above. Light cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a chip to the side of the spout. H 14 1/2".
