Unusual Large-Sized Stoneware Match Safe with Kansas City Advertising, attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, molded match safe with textured surface, beading to shoulder, and cobalt-highlighted banding, the front featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "Martin-Perrin Co., / Wholesale Liquors, / Kansas City, Mo." Two chips to interior of rim, measuring 1" and 3/4". Some additional minor chipping to rim and a tiny base nick. H 4 3/4" ; Diam. 6 1/4".
