Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with freehand stripe decoration and script "2" flanked by dashes, paired with a two-gallon jar with freehand stripe decoration and script "2" flanked by dashes. Provenance: From a fifty-year collection. Shorter jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Other jar with light surface wear, in otherwise excellent condition.
