Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Spittoon, attributed to J. Eberly & Co. or S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, cylindrical form with footed base, circular opening in top, and carved elliptical opening at shoulder; surface coated in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent condition with minor chipping to base along with a chip and two tiny nicks to opening on top. H 3 1/2" ; Diam. 6 3/4".
