Scarce Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, Huntington, Long Island, NY origin, circa 1807-1860, drape-molded, oblong form with coggled edge, the lead-glazed surface decorated with a looping "L" motif in yellow slip. Three hairlines from rim to cavetto. A crack to cavetto. Rim chips. Small flakes and surface wear to interior. L 14 1/2".
