Pittsburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "THOS. R. KERR / OLD RYE / WHISKEY. / 327 LIBERTY / PITTS." Stenciled "2" with flourishes at base, above a freehand stripe. Very nice condition with a recessed area to one side, a shallow 1/2" chip to edge of handle, which is glazed over, and a 3/4" worn spot to side of spout, possibly in-the-firing.
