Extremely Rare Stoneware Chamberpot with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, ovoid form with footed base, flattened rim, and applied strap handle, decorated around the body with four fan-shaped floral motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. This chamberpot is the only example from Philadelphia that we have ever seen. A sealed 6 1/4" crack from rim on front, emanating from a small rim chip. A few small base chips. H 6 1/2" ; Diam. (across top) 9".
