Four-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Southeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with thin, semi-rounded rim and applied tab handles, the surface covered in a mottled olive alkaline glaze. Incised "4" at shoulder. A 2" chip to side of rim with a 3 1/2" line descending from it.
