Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG VA.", circa 1870, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar, the body decorated with an upswept swag-and-stem motif. Collar additionally decorated with heavy swag decoration, as well as dashes along the spout. Desirable form with excellent color. Restoration to crack(?) at base. A minor chip to spout.
