One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Leaf Decoration, Stamped "S*T * BREWER / NEW.LONDON", CT origin, circa 1828-1830, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Tight horizontal spider crack earound base, including a tight 5 1/2" Y-shaped crack extending vertical from it on right side of jug. An in-the-firing separation to upper handle terminal with a short, faint line descending from it.
