Shenandoah Valley Glazed Redware Pitcher, attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, semi-ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared collar, the surface dipped in yellowish slip, decorated with splashed manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. A base chip and some light base wear. A glaze flake to top of handle. Two glaze flakes to rim. Two raised areas of lead glaze on the rim indicate this pitcher was fired upside-down. H 6 3/8".
