Rare Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Snuff Jar, Stenciled "WEYMAN & BRO / PITTSBURGH / PA.", Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Weyman & Bro. advertising, freehand stripes, and a stenciled "2" with flourishes at base. Shaped like a canning jar, although made without a wax sealer rim, this example is potted in an exceptionally large size for the form. Very nice condition with some light surface wear and some small in-the-firing surface pings. H 11 1/2".
