Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS", NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an imaginative slip-trailed design of flowering plant with scrolled blossoms. Slip-trailed "3" to shoulder. Slip-trailed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Striking decoration with superb color. Excellent condition with some old scratches to interior.
