Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with tooling to body and collar, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with plumed tail, perched on a stylized branch. Spout decorated with slip-trailed wavy lines. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
