Extremely Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Teapot, American, possibly PA or Ohio origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid form with footed base, curved pouring spout, and applied handle with leaf-form thumbrest. Decorated on two sides with dotted daisy blossom motifs. Cobalt banding throughout. Cobalt highlights to base and top of spout and running the length of the handle. Includes new lid made from restoration material. Restored horizontal crack through midsection of spout. Some restoration to rim. A hairline to base of handle. H (excluding lid) 4 7/8".
