Scarce Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Joseph Silber, Rockingham County, VA, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, decorated with a two-blossomed floral motif extending up the front. Spout decorated with swags flanking a wavy line. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a small chip to interior of rim, minor nicks to spout, and minor in-the-firing nicks to base. H 8 1/2".
