Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, VT origin, circa third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped "NORTON & FENTON, / BENNINGTON, VT."; paired with a two-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped "NICHOLS & BOYNTON / BURLINGTON, VT.". Bennington jar in very nice condition with an inverted 3" Y-shaped surface line to reverse, not visible on interior. Burlington jar in excellent condition with some light staining to reverse and some minor fry to cobalt.
