Rare Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Urn, Embossed "LYONS COOPERATIVE POTTERY / LYONS NY", late 19th century, wheel-thrown form with pedestal base, decorated on the base with relief scrollwork and floral motifs and around the body with stalk-like floral motifs. Embossed around the rim with Lyons Cooperative Pottery maker's mark. Surface covered in a chocolate-brown Albany slip glaze. Exceptional form. Excellent condition with a small rim chip and minor base nicks. H 9 3/4" ; Diameter 10 3/8".
