Four-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Stamped "CJB", Columbus Jackson Becham, Crawford County, GA, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jug with short spout and two applied handles, the surface covered in a mottled olive alkaline glaze with overlying brown streaks. Impressed on one handle with "CJB" maker's mark. Desirable form with excellent color, surviving in remarkable condition. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 15 1/2".
