One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with squared rim, the shoulder decorated with an incised wavy line and three spotted cobalt tulips, applied over slip-coated clay. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some typical, minor in-the-firing flaws.
