Extremely Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Ear of Corn Novelty, American, circa 1875, molded from an actual piece of corn with heavy cobalt highlights, covered in a clear salt glaze. Possibly made as a corn whiskey advertising piece and the only example of its kind that we have seen. An impressive sculptural work with crisp detail. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. L 4 1/2".
