Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Central PA origin, second half 19th century, a one-gallon cylindrical jar with cobalt tulip decoration, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX. / HARRISBURG. PA", paired with a one-gallon bowl-shaped jar with cobalt leaf motif, stamped "H L YEAGER & CO / ALLENTOWN PA". Cowden jar with heavy chipping to one handle, a horizontal line to opposite handle, some fry to cobalt, and a chip to interior of rim. Yeager jar with a chip to interior of rim, wear to one handle, and a 1 3/4" line to rim above same handle.
