Four Rockingham Hanging Game Pitchers, American, second half 19th century, three with hound-form handles and relief hanging bird, deer, and rabbit motifs, and one with unusual fox-form handle and hanging deer, rabbit, and boar motifs. All covered with reddish-brown streaks over a cream-colored ground and covered in a clear glaze. Tallest pitcher in excellent, essentially as-made condition. One shorter pitcher with two shallow spout chips, light surface and edge wear, and a few short lines from rim. Another shorter pitcher with restoration to spout. Fox-handled pitcher with a small chip to ear and a few other chips elsewhere. H (of taller pitcher) 10 3/4".
