Very Rare Diminutive Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Urn, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1840-1875, ovoid urn with pedestal base and applied slab handles with pierced openings. Rim and base with scalloped carving. Urn and base with dashed cobalt brushwork. Cobalt highlights to rim, edge of base, and handles. Restoration to area where urn meets base, including touch-up to cobalt dashes on base. H 5 1/2".
