Scarce Glazed Pottery Lion Doorstop, Stamped "MOORE CERAMICS / UHRICHSVILLE, OHIO", early 20th century, molded figure of a reclining lion on rectangular base with canted corners, the surface colorfully-glazed with blue, reddish-brown, and aqua-blue. Heavily-incised details to mane, tail, feet, face, and ribs. Underside impressed with "MOORE CERAMICS" maker's mark. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a long-term Midwestern collection. Excellent condition with minor wear. L 10 7/8" ; W 5 1/4" ; H 7 1/2".
