Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Stamped "UNION POTTERY / NEWARK, N.J. / J. ZIPF, PROP'R.", circa 1880, a two-gallon jar with brushed and slip-trailed floral motif, paired with a three-gallon crock with brushed and slip-trailed floral motif, accented with spots. Two-gallon jar with sealed top-to-bottom Y-shaped crack on reverse, continuing onto underside. Three-gallon crock with an approximately 4" crack at base, continuing onto underside.
